Ten years plus teaching as an adjunct instructor in English composition in colleges and universities has lead Instructor Chaplin to some practical solutions for improving written communication. "Seven Steps to Improved Writing" is a course designed to polish job skills. Participants profit by gaining an awareness of problem areas in their writing and then developing a systematic plan to remedy those problems. Chaplin also offers "Lessons Learned from the Spider: How to Weave a Web & Capture Your Audience" and an ongoing commitment to help beginning authors, "Author’s Apprenticeship". KellyAnn is the founder of Serendipity Educational Resources, Inc. (SER) which is a tax-exempt educational nonprofit dedicated to fostering wonderful environments for children everywhere. Each year, KellyAnn chooses two main areas of focus—one for parents and one for out-of-school time programs. In 2004 SER will support parents by providing Train the Trainer Workshops for professional parent educators. In addition to our two areas of focus this year, we continue to provide professional development services and resources to out-of-school time programs. This year these will include conference presentations and arts programming. |
ENTERTAINERS PUPPET MAKING WORKSHOPS Puppeteer/Author Linda Brittain has been an avid puppeteer for over twenty years and she bring her skills to life by doing puppetry workshops for teachers. Linda is the author of six books on puppetry and related activities. She teaches classes in a variety of puppet making techniques and makes books come alive. Linda insists that her claim to fame is that she can make anything talk! PUPPETEER Connie Galeener Puppeteer/Speaker Director/ Script Writer Connie Galeener enthusiastically shares her skills and experience with puppetry. She has appeared in classrooms, libraries, on state at resorts, Western theme parks, radio and television. Connie does both puppet performances and workshops on puppet building. She is also available to perform walk-around puppetry, giant puppets and as a guest speaker, director or script writer. CARICATURE ARTIST "ON THE SPOT" Caricature Artist Ken Goracke draws crowds. He is the "artist on the spot" who will entertain at your event by drawing the characters in attendance!
